War Rings

GoodShort synopsis

Jack has always been invisible—the broke, quiet college kid with no power, no connections, and no way to fight back against the people who make his life hell. Then a mysterious ring falls into his hands and permanently fuses with his body, awakening abilities far beyond anything human. Overnight, the boy everyone used to push around finally has the power to hit back. But the ring is no miracle. It is a binding sentence. Pulled into the secretive Star Shield Agency, Jack discovers that alien creatures have been hiding beneath the surface of everyday life—and something far more dangerous is closing in on Earth. Now forced to live two lives, ordinary student by day and reluctant fighter by night, Jack must learn to control a power that grows stronger, darker, and harder to contain with every battle. And as the world he thought he knew begins to unravel, one question becomes impossible to ignore: why did the ring choose him?
