Verity Hall, the formidable Queen of Ado City, left three years ago to develop a cure for her daughter Rowena's rare disease. Upon her return, she discovers her husband has conspired with the maid, Julia, and their illegitimate daughter, Sylvia, to take over her household, subjecting Rowena to daily abuse that leaves her mentally unstable. Heartbroken, Verity decides to reclaim her identity and attend a banquet to settle old scores and exact her revenge.
