The old prince skips his son and designates his granddaughter Adele, heir to the rare heterochromatic bloodline, as his successor. The coronation is a death trap. Her uncle August conspires with rival House Gustav and werewolves, using poison to seal Adele's Blood Domain power. Bereft of all confidants, Adele flees on the brink of death.
