The Obsession Tree

ReelShort synopsis

Detective Damian is convinced that his daughter, Amy, has been abducted—and that the culprit is the woman standing before him, who bears the exact face of his wife, Vivian. Yet everyone insists on a completely different truth: Damian never had a daughter, and the real Vivian died seven years ago. As impossible events begin to unfold—his wife vanishes from a locked interrogation room, her wounds heal in an instant, people in old photographs turn their heads on their own, and the out-of-season cherry blossom tree outside his home begins to pulse with the sound of a heartbeat—Damian realizes that the family life he has lived for the past seven years may have been an illusion carefully woven from the very beginning. But the most terrifying question is not what she truly is. It is whether Damian still wants to uncover the truth when false memories have become filled with real love, real grief, and real pain.
