Second Chance at Life

ReelShort synopsis

Second Chance at Life is a 25-episode female-growth and comeback drama. Avery Ross spends eighteen years as Caleb Bennett’s safety net—fixing his assignments, covering his mistakes, sacrificing her own chances, and believing it was friendship. Then, at the freshman talent show, Caleb holds her down so Bailey can cut off her hair, all to prove his loyalty to a cooler crowd. The whole auditorium laughs. He laughs loudest. That night, Avery wakes up. She withdraws from college, returns home, takes a gap year, and rebuilds her life from zero—SAT 1590, Columbia University. Meanwhile, without Avery to clean up his messes, Caleb is discarded by Bailey, expelled, and watches the Bennett family collapse. Along the way, Avery meets Lucas, an MIT-bound top student, and learns a love built on equality, respect, and mutual growth. In the end, she is no one’s sidekick and no one’s sacrifice—she is the lead of her own life.
